Roatan IDC and Divemaster accommodation

Premier accommodation included in our DM and IDC packages is at our award winning boutique resort on Roatans southern shoreline. Wake up to the sun rising over the Caribbean sea on your deck, have breakfast overlooking the marina and walk downstairs to start the days diving.

Special rates for Barefoot Pro trainees before or after your packages are $125/wk + 4% Hotel tax (space permitting/double occupancy) and include diving as part of the team, resort lunches, wireless internet, and towel service.

Barefoot lofts

Apartments come in two bedroom and loft style. All have large sundecks overlooking the marina and the southern reef of Roatan. Reservations in our both our programs and for accommodations are strongly recommended.

We usually place Pro package candidates in a two bedroom/one bathroom loft apartments. Each bedroom has two deluxe beds, desks, closets, safes and air conditioning. There is a living room with a 32" flat screen cable TV/DVD player, couches and chairs. There is also a full ensuite kitchen, complete with oven, stove, full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker and stocked with pots and dishes. The islands supermarket with the best prices and selection are a 5 minute/$1 cab ride away.

Our IDC program for 2010 is the new PADI eLearning Instructor course. We recommend arriving 3+ days before the IDC is scheduled to begin and take advantage of our wireless internet to complete the online portion in the comfort of your room, on your deck, or in between some fun dives while you get to know the other candidates and the Barefoot IDC Pro Team.

Staying off the resort

There are many options for staying on Roatan to fit your budget and preferred living arrangement. There is a small residential area nearby to the resort set in the tropical forest where many of our staff live. We can help you book casitas/homes often in the $250 per person plus utilities range. Divers coming to Roatan have often commented that our resort was oasis during their training and a fun environment to get a pro diver immersion.
