Roatan Hyperbaric Chamber Technician Course

In 2008 I trained as a Diver Medic Technician (Hyperbaric Chamber Technician) with Commander Ron Ellerman through Cornerstone Medical Services here on Roatan. Although these programs are not part of our Barefoot programs, this is a unique opportunity for dive pros and I was impressed with the quality of the training, Rons support of the Hyperbaric Chamber facility, its growth into TEC Diving gas blending recompression and as a global leader in Hyperbaric Medicine.

Commander Ron Ellerman offers training and certification through the NBDHMT - National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology with certifications in the following:

• EMT - B, Emergency Medical Technician - this the basic program taught to ambulance personnel in the USA, it is also a prerequisite for the Hyperbaric DMT course
• DMT - Diver Medical Technician - this is the Hyperbaric Chamber Technician program which certifies individuals to work in NBDMHT accredited Hyperbaric Facilities around the world, in the commercial diving industry, in hospitals, or recreational diving facilities
