There is not a more fun or cost savy way to become a skilled and experienced PADI Divemaster than by attending an Internship program, Barefoot Divers offers you an excellent opportunity to get the skills and knowledge to start a great career in the diving industry. Our IDC Staff instructors of will mentor this foundational course in your Pro Scuba career. Learn to lead divers, assist with diver training and monitor coral health in a tropical Caribbean island resort setting.
Our training philosophy is to make you a part of our dive team and not a dive slave, we prefer to lead by example, and with small classes. Spots in our Divemaster Internship program are limited to four candidates to ensure you a 1 to 1 ratio with your IDC Staff Instructor mentor. As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Resort we are strongly suited for your in depth training.
Barefoot PADI Divemaster training - Internship
Take your shoes off, stay with us for a while... Internships include; unlimited diving, towel service, free use of diving equipment, resort lunches, wireless internet access, 2010 Roatan Marine Park fees, savings on dive gear purchases from the fully stocked dive shop, and fee reductions for specialties, Master Scuba Diver and Eco project courses.
We know the level of commitment it takes to become a scuba professional, so we are pleased offer you specially priced DM Internship packages. In addition to what is already included in our DM internship, packages include resort accommodation at our award winning resort, and all required PADI materials.
The accommodations are located above the dive shop, are an oasis and include; air conditoning, ensuite bathroom with hotwater and towel service, wireless internet, large ocean view balconies, big full kitchen, desks, living room area with 32" flat screen cable TV and luxurious beds with weekly linen service.
Barefoot Divemaster Internship Package Samples
- 4 week internship package $1025 - this would suit a Rescue Diver and includes 7 nights accommodation, Divemaster Crew pack, RDP table and eRDPml
- 6 week internship package $1425 - for divers coming to Roatan with an Advanced rating this includes 7 nights accommodation, the PADI Rescue Diver course and Divemaster Internship, EFR/CPR/1st Aid and Care for Children training, Rescue Diver Manual, EFR manuals, eRDPml, DM Crew Pack, and all related PADI fees
- 8 week internship package $2075 - for an immersion into diving with final certification as a PADI Divemaster. This includes 7 nights accommodation, all materials, RDP table and eRDPml, course fees for Open Water Diver, Advanced, EFR CPR/1st Aid/Care for Children, Divemaster Internship
These packages do not include the $81 PADI Divemaster application fee.
Master Scuba Diver option - add 5 specialty courses to any of these packages for as little as $299 which includes, course fees, required manuals, dives and PADI certification. Earn certifications in Nitrox, Digital Underwater Photography, Wreck Diving, Underwater Naturalist and more...
PADI Pro course candidates are required to have a physical by a doctor prior to beginning their Divemaster training. You can download and print out the form here, take it to you doctor before signing up and heading to Roatan.
We are proud to support the Roatan Marine Park and we donate their south side office space in our resort. We welcome interns who wish to volunteer to assist the RMP efforts while attending our DM program. We also are running several conservation and research programs that with some additional training you can assist with.
The next step would be our Assistant Instructor Internship or attend our PADI IDC.
